Kuala Lumpur is about to be transformed into a buzzing mixology hub as the highly anticipated Kuala Lumpur Cocktail Week (KLCW) returns for its third edition from April 28 to May 3, 2026. This week-long celebration is set to immerse cocktail aficionados, industry experts, and curious bar newcomers alike in a world of crafted cocktails and fine spirits, solidifying the city’s place on the global bar map.

A Cocktail Adventure Across the City

KLCW will divide Kuala Lumpur into four event zones, each offering its unique cocktail experiences:

  • Petaling Jaya (PJ) / Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI)
  • Bangsar / Damansara Heights
  • Kuala Lumpur City Centre
  • Chinatown

Each area will host a series of events, culminating in the lively Festival Village at Sentul Depot on May 2. This exciting venue will serve as the heart of the event, bringing together the best of what KLCW has to offer.

Global Bar Influence

What makes KLCW truly stand out from the pack is its collaboration with renowned bars from across Asia and the Middle East. Expect to see leading establishments from cities like Bangkok, Shanghai, Tokyo, Dubai, and beyond, showcasing their distinct drinking cultures. This City Takeover series aims to share diverse techniques, innovative ingredients, and captivating stories that highlight the art of cocktail making across the region

Local hotspots, such as Bar Trigona, JungleBird, Penrose, Reka:Bar, and more than a dozen others, will also play an essential role, hosting events that reflect Malaysia’s rich cocktail scene.

Festival Village: A Celebration of Craftsmanship

The Festival Village promises an unforgettable experience on May 2, running from 1-11:30PM. Here, guests can indulge in a variety of cocktails, enjoy live music, participate in interactive games, and attend masterclasses. This vibrant atmosphere will celebrate the craftsmanship behind every pour, making it a must-visit for anyone passionate about cocktails.

Insightful Discussions at Tipple Talks

On May 1, KLCW will host Tipple Talks at the W Hotel, a full-day conference designed for industry professionals. This educational event will feature discussions on critical themes such as culinary heritage, the impact of AI on hospitality, and the evolving creator economy within the food and beverage sector. It’s a unique opportunity for attendees to gain insights from influential figures shaping the future of the industry.

Dine and Sip: Cocktail Pairing Dinners

Adding a culinary twist, KLCW 2026 will introduce a series of cocktail pairing dinners in collaboration with top restaurants like Nadodi and Terra Dining. These exclusive dining experiences, supported by S.Pellegrino & Acqua Panna, will showcase how expertly crafted cocktails can enhance food flavors, offering a delightful exploration for the palate.

A Collaborative Future

Supported by a stellar lineup of brands, including Belvedere, Chivas, Hennessy and many other premier spirit brands, KLCW 2026 is set to foster collaborations and expand Malaysia’s cocktail community. This initiative aims not just to elevate the local scene but also to attract international attention, encouraging appreciation for fine drinks and craft cocktails.
